Graduate Programme/Internship

Are you interested in becoming a Calibration Technician in the Pharmaceutical Industry? This programme has been designed to recruit graduates from Non-Instrumentation, Engineering & Science based disciplines: Mechatronic, Electrical, Chemical etc.

This unique opportunity for recently qualified Graduates to ‘Earn as they Learn’ and is the next logical step after finishing a degree. This is a structured graduate programme with specifically designed modules based on the fundamental principles of instrumentation. The programme is monitored and completed with continuous assessment format.

This 18-month programme consists of the following 5 steps:

 

  • Step 1: Induction, Appraisal & Introduction to the Hanley Mentorship Programme.

 

  • Step 2: Module 1

o  Intro to Calibration Terminology

o  GMP Awareness

o  GDP Awareness

o  LOTO and P&ID

o  DC Circuits

 

  • Step 3: at 6 months –  2nd Appraisal & Module 2

o  2.1 Intro to Temperature

o  2.2 Temperature Devices

o  2.3 Intro to Pressure

o  2.4 Pressure Devices

o  2.5 pH Measurement

  • Step 4: at 12 months – 3rd Appraisal & Module 3

o  3.1 Conductivity

o  3.2 Intro to Level

o  3.3 Level Devices

o  3.4 Intro to Flow

o  3.5 Flow Devices

 

  • Step 5: at 18 months – Final Appraisal:

o   Final review of modules and Feedback.

o   Course completion recognition & a career opportunities discussion

  • L7 Degree in any Engineering or Science discipline.
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal.
  • Ability to understand project plans and schedules.
  • Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail.

  • Good Scheduling preparation, review, and implementation skills.

Salary Increase

Incremental salary increase on completion of each module:

  • Starting salary: level 1
  • On completion of Module 1 (6months): level 2
  • On completion of Module 2 (12 months): level 3
